Uses[]
An Empty Terrarium is used in the Terrarium missions for the Galastropods.
Each terrarium corresponds with its own planet, and requires resources from that planet to be activated. In order to do so, you must insert soil, a specific ore(different for each mission), and a certain seed. List of items needed can be found on the mission information.
Once the terrarium is complete, you are required to go on the terrarium's planet to begin the process of capturing a Galastropod.
You will need to put a Trumpet Horn on top to begin the process. The Galastropod will dig its way out of the soil in a cutscene, after which you will be required to travel to it and preform a certain emote that has to be guessed. After this, the Galastropod will re-appear somewhere else, ready to be captured. During this process, the Galastropod will show up on your compass, and as an icon in the sky (similar to a Beacon).
After this, your new friend will appear in its Terrarium. You will soon receive a mission to scan the Galastropod in the Xenobiology Lab’s sonic array. This will analyze it, and unlock an article about it. This process takes about 2U of power from the lab. When all Galastropods have been analyzed, you will be presented with a sort of choir from them.
