- Decrypted Fault Finders can be used in Trade Platform to trade for extremely desirable or rare items such as eg. Nanocarbon Alloy or Hybrid Rose Seeds.
- It is essential to complete missions in the EVA Questline.
Description[]
Fault Finder ready for decryption (method: Align)
When crafted, Fault Finders stay inactive until you decrypt them. To decrypt a Fault Finder find yourself on the surface of any planet and use it. A little light will flash and lead you to the location where the Fault Finder should be. Place the Fault Finder in the shown location and use it again. You need to repeat this process a total of three times. A forth time you use the Fault Finder it will detect the tear in the simulation and choose one of three detection methods:
- Unearth - Player needs to dig up 5 fractured memories from the ground.
- Gather - Player needs to find 5 fractured memories which are floating above the surface. They need to be collected and brought back to the Fault Finder
- Align - Player needs to collect one of the fractured memories and go to the place that the fractured memory is leading to. Then repeat the process until you align all 5 memories in a shape of a star.
After all of the memories are collected, the Fault Finder is ready for decryption. Use it for the last time when the description changes to "CHRONOS MEMORY READY FOR DECRYPTION" and after an animation the Fault Finder is decrypted and can be used to trade in Trade Platform.
