Fireworks are a recreational item. When activated, they will launch themselves into the air and explode, creating a large red ball of particles. This does not affect the world or player in any way.

Fireworks can be found on abandoned backpack from dead explorers, which are normally around Broken Dropship or underground.
Fireworks may also be found in Underground Wrecks on every planets.
Uses[]
Fireworks serve no practical purpose and are mainly used for entertainment. Once placed in the world, either on the ground or in a Tier 1 slot, they can be activated by hovering the cursor over the item and holding the use key (PC: 
, Xbox:

), placing it in the backpack's or a vehicle's activation slots and pressing the corresponding activation key (for PC:

), or by using an activation item such as Sensors or Repeaters. When activated, they will launch upwards and explode, creating a red ball of particles.
For the achievement "Baby You're a Firework" you must launch 10 fireworks in 10 seconds. Because it is tricky to launch them manually in 10 seconds you can use these tricks:
- attach 8 Fireworks to the front and rear connectors of a Large Rover and the remaining 2 to the tool slots of your Backpack (top left and right). Now hop inside the vehicle and press the left and right use keys
and . Exit the rover with and hit the left/right use keys again. - Or build 2 Large Sensor Rings, attach the fireworks to their Reaction Slots and activate both.
If any repeaters are used to activate the fireworks the player will not receive the achievement.
