The Large Active Storage is a utility item in Astroneer. It has a small number of Tier-1 slots compared to other storage options. However, on the back of each storage slot is a diamond shape which can directly control the held item. An additional diamond port is placed on the base of the Large Active Storage, which lowers and raises the storage. This can be used with automation items to create moving and animated signs, firework shows, etc.
As far as storage capacity is concerned, it is among the least effective ways of storing T1 slots on a T3 slot. The large storage with four medium storages can store 32 items; a large storage with four medium storage silos, 96; a large storage silo B with twelve medium storages, 96; and, above all, the large storage silo B with 12 attached medium storage silos, for 288 total T1 slots.
The size of Extra Large Platform C is such, that four Large Active Storage can be placed side-by-side with equal space among all active storage slots.
