The Medium Gas Canister is storage item in Astroneer. It allows players to store more of one gas than other storage items allow.

Uses
- The Medium Gas Canister can hold up to 32 full canisters or 160 unites of a single type ofAtmospheric Resources. They cannot hold other types of resources, including Hydrazine, as it is a liquid.
Modes
The Player can cycle between the two modes of the Medium Gas Canister by pressing F, XBONE_Y, or PS4_Triangle.
Input Mode
- When in this mode, the Medium Resource Canister will collect one type of gas from any available storage or an active Atmospheric Condenser. It can only hold one type of gas at a time.
- If it is empty, it will take the first resource it finds from such storage and start holding it.
Output Mode
- When in this mode, the Medium Resource Canister will deposit the gas it is holding to any available storage.
- Note that the Medium Resource Canister will not grab or deposit from Printers.
