Platforms are basic structures that hold modules, storage, and items. Most modules must be placed on a platform and connected to power to function. Connect platforms with their cable plugs to create power networks. If an Oxygenator is attached to any platform, it provides oxygen to the player, and tethers may be attached.
Depending on their size and layout, each platform has a different number of attachment slots for holding other objects.
All Platforms, except for the Small Platform, can be unlocked/locked in place using the Use key (PC: 
, Xbox: 
, PS4: 
, Switch: 
). Locking a platform will prevent the player from accidentally picking it up (and thus, from potentially breaking power networks).
Small Platform[]
Small Platforms are not crafted, but it will automatically appear when certain small items are placed on the ground and will disappear when picked up. These items are the Small Printer, the Small Generator, the Small Solar Panel, the Small Wind Turbine, the Small Battery, the QT-RTG, the Power Sensor, the Worklight, the Portable Smelting Furnace and the Floodlight.
Small Platforms have 2 power connectors, allowing them to be powered and provide oxygen.

Medium Platforms[]
The following Medium Platforms are printed at a Small Printer:

Medium Platforms A and B are frequently encountered as part of Discoveries, usually with (often destroyed) power producers attached. Most of the time, they will lack working Power connections, but the attachment points will still be functional. Also occasionally, at least one power connector will still be operable, allowing for almost regular use of the platform.
Large Platforms[]
